Two brushes you need to keep your hair looking good

While the tour stylist who looks after the tresses of the Duchess of Cambridge may have 13 brushes in her kit, most of us only need a couple to tame our locks.

Here are two that I recommend you should have at the ready.

Kent Brushes CSMM Medium Nylon and Pure Black Natural Bristle Cushion Brush, £27.50 (For stockists visit kentbrushes.com)
A medium nylon and pure black natural bristle brush, in a shade of chic midnight ruby, is ideal for smoothing and adjusting your hair on the go as it should easily fit into your handbag. The natural bristles help to encourage shine and stimulate your scalp by aiding the production of natural oils to flow through the hair. The nylon is good for grooming, especially thick hair.

KentSalon XL Curling and Straightening Brush, £33 (For stockists visit kentbrushes.com)
Creating tension is paramount when trying to get your hair sleek and smooth. This brush almost does the work for you. It has a great grip so it is easy to control. The rows of short bristles mixed with heatproof nylon help to give your hair that lovely sheen. It is also ideal for creating curls. This brush will help you to look like you have just left the salon. It is the best one I have used!
