Best body lotions

This is not a paid post. Products are press samples.

Whatever time of the year, dry skin needs a good nourishing cream that will restore hydration levels and make it feel super soft.

Having tested several over recent years, here are the three that I always go back to because they deliver.

Clinique Deep Comfort Body Lotion with pump, £32
A thirst-quencher for parched skin, this light-weight lotion absorbs instantly leaving your body feeling super silky soft. Works well on tough areas such as knees, elbows and feet. Works wonders for me.

Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion, £31
Loaded with shea butter, this is another great drink that my skin laps up leaving no trace of grease. It has a lovely floral scent. A pleasure to use.

Clarins Tonic Body Treatment Oil, £40
Helps to tone and firm as well as moisturise. Smells good too. I am informed that it also improves the appearance of stretch marks – something I do not have. A rich oil that works well on its own or mix a drop or two with Clarins Moisture-Rich Body Lotion.

In the shower

NIVEA Sun In-Shower Refreshing After Sun Lotion, £4
Ideal for holidays or for use after spending a day outdoors. Use your normal shower product (I like NIVEA Caring Shower Silk Mousse, £2.99 which has the classic NIVEA scent and is not drying on the skin) and then apply the Sun In-Shower After Sun Lotion. Be careful not to slip in the shower. It is non-sticky, refreshing and soothing. Dry yourself and immediately get dressed.
